Founded in 1972, Europe’s largest bicycle brand, MERIDA bikes, are designed in Germany and manufactured using state of the art technology at MERIDA's global head office and manufacturing facility in Taiwan.

MERIDA Australia (Advance Traders) works closely with our retail partners, and the riders, from a sales perspective, right through from the design of our bikes.

Worldwide, MERIDA's main objective is to meet riders’ individual demands in the best possible way to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

At the beginning of 2017, MERIDA BIKES joined the BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team, not just as a technical sponsor but also as the main partner of this newly formed team. After four years as a co-title sponsor with LAMPRE-MERIDA followed by three incredible years with BAHRAIN MERIDA, MERIDA BIKES has now joined forces with the new Team BAHRAIN McLAREN as the official bicycle supplier and technical partner, allowing us to fully concentrate on providing the team with the best material possible.

Over the three years of its existence, the BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team managed to achieve 199 podium placements in three years, 53 of which were on the top step. We are immensely proud of that achievement but are looking forward to putting all our efforts into supporting the new Team BAHRAIN McLAREN.

The riders will use the MERIDA SCULTURA or REACTO on stages and single-day events and the dedicated TT bike, the TIME WARP for individual and team time trials.

After a long and illustrious racing career, three times World Champion (Junior, U23 and Elite) and long-standing MERIDA racer José Antonio Hermida has retired from the world of Mountain Bike World Cup racing and has joined the MERIDA family as a brand ambassador and product tester.

As one of the most versatile riders in the World Cup, José’s wealth of experience supports not just the development of MERIDA’s cross country product range but he also gets involved in our growing range of accessories, as well as our full suspension, cyclo-cross and even road bike line-up.

Besides his increased involvement in the product development side, he will also focus on testing, promotions and events. However, José’s competitive side has not gone away and he will keep one leg in the racing world by continuing with selected marathon and stage races as well as getting involved in enduro and e-bike racing.

She needs no introduction. The ‘grand dame’ of mountain biking and 2018 European Marathon Champion has managed to win ten World and nine European Championships (in cross-country and marathon) and also managed to secure the gold medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. To top it all off – Gunn-Rita is leading the all-time World Cup wins list with a total of 30 wins. With a professional mountain biking career that spans over more than 20 years, 2018 was her final World Cup racing season, and Gunn-Rita has joined the illustrious group of MERIDA brand ambassadors. Similarly to her former teammate José Hermida, Gunn-Rita will share her knowledge and experience with the MERIDA R&D team, keep encouraging people to ride their bikes and still dabble in selected events.
